Widow's Walk
Widow’s Walk was produced in a class designed to give students a first hand experience into using Grasshopper and digital fabrication tools. Through the translation of 2D images into 3D objects the course was an exploration into how digital fabrication further translates the same geometry across a variety of materials. The analysis demonstrated how different materials with the same geometry exposes and/or reveals intentional and unintentional design results. This project exposed the significance of understanding material properties, fabrication processes, aesthetics and the need for material investigations.
